Pumpkin Harvest Smoothie Bowl

Fall is here, and it’s time to cozy up with your flannel blanket, sweater and favorite fall recipes. One of our favorite recipes is this fall-inspired smoothie bowl recipe featuring milk and lots of fall flavors.

Every autumn, I stock up on fall essentials for my kitchen so that I always have staples on hand. You never know when you may want to whip up a delicious harvest smoothie bowl or warm vegetarian chili.


While shopping for items such as pumpkin, broth, milk, juice and cream, I always choose cartons. And for so many reasons!

  • They’re recyclable and made from a renewable resource – mostly paper that comes from trees.
  • They help maintain a product’s freshness by protecting flavor, nutrients and vitamins.
  • They are efficient in the shipping process – not to mention on the grocery store shelf and most importantly, in my refrigerator.

By practicing moderation, you don’t have to sacrifice your favorite fall flavors to eat healthy. In this Pumpkin Harvest Smoothie Bowl recipe, I used natural sweeteners like dates and maple syrup and slipped in a serving of fruit (hello, pumpkin!). I topped my smoothie bowl with fiber-filled ingredients such as pecans, plums and raisins. And always aiming to use cartons when I can, organic milk was an important ingredient in this recipe. It’s a natural and healthy fall meal!

Pumpkin Harvest Smoothie Bowl
Serves: 2

2 cups sliced frozen banana
1 cup pumpkin puree
2 medjool dates, pitted
1 tablespoon maple syrup
1 cup 2% milk (I used Organic Valley)
1 tablespoon flax seed
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
⅛ teaspoon nutmeg

*Optional Toppings
Rolled oats
Ground cinnamon


  1. Place all ingredients (except for toppings) into a high-speed blender and blend until smooth.
  2. Pour in bowls and top with your favorite toppings.
  3. Enjoy!
